How it plays

How does Medabots: Rokusho play?

The game uses an overhead exploration view. The player travels between towns and other locations, talks to characters, searches for events, and challenges opposing Medafighters.

Battles are menu-driven and turn-based. Medabots use individual parts for movement, defense, and attacks, and a team wins by disabling the opposing Medabot leader. Victories provide progress through the story and access to additional parts and opponents.

The Rokusho version centers its available equipment and featured robot on Rokusho rather than Metabee. Team composition and part selection are important because weapons and defenses suit different battle situations.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Medabots: Rokusho?

Build a balanced team instead of relying on one attack type. Keep parts with useful defense and movement values, and replace damaged or poorly matched equipment after important battles.

Study the opposing Medabot before selecting commands. Focus attacks on the enemy leader when possible, but disable a dangerous weapon or support part first if it is allowing the opponent to control the battle.

Save stronger parts for difficult story battles and check your equipment before entering a new area. A well-matched set of parts is usually more valuable than simply using the newest item.
