How it plays
Players guide Lan through towns, tournament areas, and cyberspace from a third-person perspective. MegaMan.EXE fights on a six-by-three grid, dodging attacks and using a limited hand of Battle Chips selected from a custom folder.
Winning battles grants money, chips, and access to stronger options. Blue Moon features tournament rounds, optional virus battles, shops, story events, and Double Soul transformations created by combining MegaMan with compatible allies. The main campaign follows the N1 Grand Prix and its escalating threats.
Plan your run
Build a folder around a small number of compatible chip codes so useful attacks appear together during the Custom Screen. Keep defensive chips available, since movement and timing are more reliable than trying to overpower every enemy.
Explore optional areas and revisit locations after story events. Collecting chips and learning enemy patterns makes Double Soul transformations and later tournament rounds much easier to manage.

Mega Man Battle Network 4: Blue Moon is a science-fiction action RPG developed by Capcom Production Studio 2 and published by Capcom for the Game Boy Advance. It follows Lan Hikari and MegaMan.EXE as they enter the N1 Grand Prix, a tournament threatened by an extraterrestrial danger. Real-time grid battles combine direct movement with a deck of selectable Battle Chips. The game adds a tournament structure, random enemy encounters, and the Double Soul system. Reception recognized its fast combat and customization, while opinions were more divided about its repetitive tournament progression and version-specific content.
