How it plays
The game uses a side-view perspective. From the resistance base, Zero accepts missions, enters stages, defeats enemies, rescues allies, and reaches a mission objective or boss.
Zero can run, jump, dash, climb walls, use the Z-Saber and Buster Shot, and deploy sub-weapons. Weapons improve through use, while Cyber-elves provide optional abilities and support at a resource cost.
Mission performance affects the player's ranking, and bosses grant new powers or weapon upgrades. Stages can also contain energy items, elves, and other rewards.
Plan your run
Learn to combine dashes, wall jumps, and the Z-Saber rather than attacking from a stationary position.

Mega Man Zero is a side-scrolling action-platform game developed by Inti Creates and published by Capcom for the Game Boy Advance. It stars Zero, who awakens after a long absence and joins Ciel's resistance against the authoritarian government of Neo Arcadia. The game combines precise platforming with fast melee combat, ranged weapons, and mission-based exploration. Players select operations from a central base, then fight through varied stages filled with bosses, environmental hazards, and hidden items. Its challenging controls and darker story were well received, establishing a distinct identity within the Mega Man franchise and launching a successful four-game series.
