How it plays
The player guides an M&M through compact, screen-based stages viewed from a top-down perspective. Objectives involve moving through layouts, collecting items, avoiding hazards, and reaching the exit while dealing with simple obstacles.
Progression is level-based. Players advance through a sequence of stages, repeating the core movement and collection loop with increasingly demanding layouts. The Game Boy version is designed for brief sessions and does not center on a large roster, elaborate combat system, or extensive character progression.
Plan your run
Plan a route before moving into narrow passages, and prioritize the items needed to open or complete the stage. Avoid rushing into hazards, since compact layouts can make recovery difficult.
When a stage contains optional collectibles, clear the safe areas first and then return to riskier paths. Learn the timing and placement of recurring obstacles rather than relying on rapid movement.

M&M's Minis Madness is a licensed puzzle-action game developed by Digital Eclipse and published by Crave Entertainment for Game Boy. It uses the M&M's Minis branding in a compact handheld adventure built around navigating stages and solving simple environmental challenges. The game favors short, straightforward play sessions over a large story or complex character system. Its appeal comes from colorful presentation, collectible-focused objectives, and accessible puzzle mechanics. Reception was generally limited and mixed, with the game remembered mainly as an early-2000s branded handheld release rather than a major genre entry.
