Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
The game presents a board of concealed tiles from a top-down, single-screen perspective. The objective is to uncover two matching monster images at a time and remove or resolve each pair until the board is cleared.
Players select tiles, remember previously revealed images, and improve their results by reducing mistakes and unnecessary moves. The core progression comes from completing successive boards or sessions; no documented story campaign or character-based advancement is included.
Plan your run
Use a consistent scan pattern, such as left to right and top to bottom, so revealed locations are easier to remember.
When a known pair is available, play it immediately. If neither tile is known, choose positions that help build a mental map of the board rather than selecting randomly.
Before you begin
Adopt a fixed search order and keep track of each monster's location.
Prioritize known matches before revealing new tiles.
Moraff's Monster Memory is a DOS matching-pairs puzzle game developed and published by Moraffware. Players reveal hidden monster pictures and attempt to remember their positions well enough to clear the board. Its design is straightforward, emphasizing visual memory, concentration, and efficient play rather than a conventional story or action-based challenge. The game belongs to the shareware-era family of small, self-contained PC puzzles that could be learned quickly and replayed repeatedly. Its monster artwork provides the theme, while the changing board arrangement supplies the replay value. Reception is primarily associated with its simple, accessible presentation and its place in Moraffware's collection of distinctive DOS-era puzzle games.
