Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
The game is viewed from a first-person perspective. The objective is to complete mission goals while navigating outdoor battlefields, bases, villages, bunkers, and underground passages.
Players explore levels, collect weapons and ammunition, engage enemies, operate usable objects, and survive scripted combat encounters. Progression follows a sequence of campaign missions rather than a branching structure. The DOS version also includes multiplayer support, although the exact available modes can depend on the release and configuration.
Plan your run
Conserve ammunition for weapons suited to each situation, especially when moving through longer missions with limited resupply. Check side paths and buildings for supplies before entering major firefights.
Use cover around bunkers and fortified positions, and avoid charging into tunnels or rooms without checking likely enemy locations. Learn the layout of each objective area, since scripted ambushes can punish rapid movement.
NAM is a first-person military shooter developed by TNT Team and published by GT Interactive for DOS in 1998. Built with technology derived from the Build engine, it places the player in a fictionalized Vietnam War campaign filled with patrols, ambushes, tunnels, and fortified positions. The game follows a linear action format rather than a tactical simulation. Players move through combat missions, use period weapons, and fight enemy soldiers and other battlefield threats. Its setting and arsenal gave it a distinctive identity, although contemporary reception was mixed because the gameplay closely followed earlier Build-engine shooters and the campaign could feel repetitive.
