How it plays

How does Omega play?

The game alternates between tank construction, AI programming, and combat testing. Players select a chassis and install equipment such as weapons, armor, sensors, and power-related components, balancing capability against available resources and weight.

Combat takes place in arenas where the programmed tank follows its own rules. The objective is to defeat opposing vehicles and use the results to refine hardware and behavior. Progress comes from earning resources, improving the design, and revising the AI script rather than from direct reflex control.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Omega?

Start with a simple script that can detect enemies, maintain a useful range, and fire only when a target is in a favorable position. Test one change at a time so that the effect of each rule is clear.

Balance weapons, armor, mobility, sensors, and power. A heavily armed tank can still fail if it cannot detect enemies or reposition efficiently. Keep backups of successful scripts before making major revisions.

Before you begin

What should you know before playing?

  1. 1

Use combat results to identify one weakness at a time.

  2. 2

Avoid spending all available resources on weapons; detection and mobility are also essential.

  3. 3

Save proven AI scripts before experimenting.
