Gameplay is built around side-scrolling stages with jumping, attacking, dodging hazards, and clearing enemy waves. Luffy can use basic punches and kicks, plus rubber-based techniques that extend his reach or create rushing attacks. Stages usually end with a boss fight, and beating the boss unlocks the next area. Characters have health and checkpoints, with items that restore vitality, grant extra lives, or temporarily make the player invincible. Losing all lives sends the player back to an earlier checkpoint or the start of the stage.

Learn each stage’s jump timing and platform spacing first, since many failures come from hazards rather than basic enemies. Against bosses, watch for recovery windows and avoid overextending with repeated attacks. Save healing items for boss approaches or difficult enemy clusters. If you can choose characters, Luffy is usually the safest first pick because his kit is the most versatile for general clearing.
