Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
The game uses a side-view perspective with the aircraft moving through automatically scrolling stages. The main objective is to survive each mission, destroy airborne and ground-based enemies, collect useful power-ups, and defeat the stage boss.
The fighter can move around the playfield, fire its weapons, and use upgraded firepower obtained during the mission. Stages combine enemy waves, fixed targets, terrain hazards, and boss encounters. Progression is stage-based, with limited lives or continuing opportunities depending on the version and settings.
Plan your run
Stay near the center of the screen when possible so there is room to react to enemies entering from either side of the immediate play area.
Prioritize threats that fire directly at the aircraft, then collect power-ups when the route is safe. Learn boss attack patterns instead of concentrating only on dealing damage, because careless movement can quickly cost a life.
Before you begin
Keep moving, but avoid unnecessary sweeping movements that can carry the aircraft into terrain or bullets.
Memorize enemy-entry points and boss patterns after each attempt.
Use upgraded weapons to clear formations before they overlap with the aircraft's path.
P-47: The Freedom Fighter is a horizontally scrolling military shoot 'em up based on the P-47 Thunderbolt fighter aircraft. The player flies through wartime stages, destroys enemy aircraft and ground targets, and collects power-ups to improve offensive strength. The game emphasizes direct arcade action rather than simulation, with a single-player format and continuously scrolling battlefields. It originated as a Jaleco arcade title and is associated with NMK's shoot 'em up design work, while the DOS edition presents the game for home computers. Its reputation rests mainly on straightforward shooting, large enemy formations, and demanding arcade-style difficulty.
