How it plays

How does Paperboy play?

The game presents a scrolling isometric neighborhood route. The objective is to deliver newspapers to as many subscribing houses as possible while avoiding crashes and preserving enough papers to finish the day.

The rider moves along the street, aims throws toward homes, and navigates hazards such as vehicles, obstacles, dogs, and pedestrians. Destroying a non-subscriber’s property can reduce the delivery score or cost a subscription. Completing the route leads to a training course, where successful actions can improve the next delivery.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Paperboy?

Study the street before committing to a throw, and favor safe deliveries over risky attempts at distant houses. Keep the rider’s path clear by slowing or changing position when traffic and obstacles converge.

Use the training course to practice timing and movement. Protect subscriber houses whenever possible, because maintaining the route is generally more valuable than taking unnecessary risks for a single delivery.
