How it plays

How does Pharaoh Gold play?

Players construct an Egyptian settlement on an isometric map. Roads connect housing, farms, workshops, storage buildings, temples, entertainment venues, administrative facilities, and monuments. Citizens move through the city, and the player must manage employment, food, health, education, religion, security, and trade.

Campaign missions provide objectives such as reaching population targets, producing goods, establishing trade routes, or completing monuments. The player progresses by improving housing and services while balancing taxation, labor availability, resources, religious favor, and occasional military or disaster pressures. Free-building options and scenario settings may vary by release.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Pharaoh Gold?

Plan residential districts around reliable access to food, water, services, and entertainment. Separate industrial areas from housing when possible, and use storage yards and road layouts to prevent long delivery routes.

Advance housing only when the supporting services and goods are ready. Monitor labor shortages, production bottlenecks, and trade capacity before starting a major monument; a prosperous population is usually more valuable than rapid expansion.

Before you begin

What should you know before playing?

  1. 1

Use compact road networks so walkers can reach many services without excessive travel.

  2. 2

Keep production, storage, and export buildings close to one another.

  3. 3
