How it plays
The game is viewed from a top-down perspective during exploration. Players travel through Unova, talk to characters, collect items, solve environmental obstacles, and enter routes, caves, towns, and other areas.
Turn-based battles use a team of up to six Pokémon. Players select moves, switch Pokémon, use items, or attempt to catch wild Pokémon. Gym victories provide Badges and support progression through the story, while revised encounters and trainer rosters encourage broader team planning.
Plan your run
Build a balanced team with different types and reliable status or support options rather than relying on one powerful attacker.
Check enemy rosters before important battles when possible. The Redux version is designed around stronger and more varied opposition, so level parity, held items, abilities, and type coverage matter.
Keep healing items available, revisit move options as Pokémon evolve, and use the expanded encounter pool to replace weak team members instead of carrying a poor matchup through the whole game.

Pokémon Blaze Black 2 Redux is a fan-made role-playing modification of Pokémon Black 2, developed by Drayano for Nintendo DS. It preserves the Unova adventure while substantially revising encounters, trainer teams, battle difficulty, evolution methods, and other progression details. The core premise remains the journey of a Pokémon Trainer who challenges Gyms, confronts Team Plasma, and seeks to become Champion. The game uses traditional turn-based battles, exploration, capture, training, and team building. Its reputation comes from offering a broader selection of Pokémon and a more demanding, more varied campaign than the original game. Because it is a modification rather than an official Nintendo release, its exact release information and publishing history are not standardized.
