How it plays
How does Pokémon Gaia play?
The game uses a top-down perspective with turn-based battles. The player explores the Orbtus region, catches and trains Pokémon, defeats Gym Leaders, earns Badges, and progresses through a story involving the region’s history and legendary Pokémon.
Outside battle, players walk through routes and caves, solve environmental obstacles, collect items, use field moves, and build a team of up to six Pokémon. Battles award experience, allowing Pokémon to level up and learn moves; evolution and team-building choices support progression through increasingly difficult areas.

Build a balanced team with varied types rather than relying on one strong attacker. Check each Gym Leader’s specialties and keep several Pokémon near the same level.
