How it plays
The game uses a top-down exploration view. The player moves through towns, routes, caves, and other areas, talking to characters, collecting items, solving environmental obstacles, and entering turn-based Pokémon battles.
Progression centers on assembling a team, earning experience, learning moves, evolving Pokémon, and collecting Gym Badges. The campaign follows a mostly linear regional journey with optional encounters and areas. Battles include wild Pokémon, rival-style opponents, Gym Leaders, and members of the region's criminal faction.
Plan your run
Build a balanced team with different types and keep several Pokémon near the same level. Carry healing items before entering caves or major battles, and return to a Pokémon Center regularly.
Read move descriptions and watch for type advantages. Save before important battles or difficult exploration sections, because a poorly prepared team can make progress slower.

Pokémon Victory Fire is a fan-made role-playing adventure for the Game Boy Advance, built from the Pokémon Emerald game engine. It follows a young Trainer traveling through the Tyron region, catching and training Pokémon, challenging Gym Leaders, and confronting a criminal organization. The game uses turn-based battles, exploration, item management, and evolution as its central play systems. Its presentation remains close to the 32-bit Pokémon style while adding a new region and original story material. Victory Fire became known among ROM-hack players for offering a substantial Pokémon campaign beyond the official Game Boy Advance releases, although its development history and authorship are not consistently documented.
