Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
The game uses a two-dimensional side view. The main objective is to move through each stage, defeat or avoid hostile creatures, collect food, and reach the exit before losing all health or lives.
Levels contain platforms, pits, moving hazards, ladders, water, and secret areas. The caveman can explore, jump, crouch, and attack with his club. Progression is stage-based, with new environments and more demanding enemy patterns appearing as the adventure continues.
Plan your run
Learn enemy movement patterns before attacking, and avoid rushing into narrow passages. Collect food whenever it is safe, because it supports scoring and helps offset missed items.
Check platforms and side paths for hidden pickups, but do not sacrifice a life for a collectible when the route is unclear. Use the club at close range and keep enough space to react to jumping or charging enemies.
Before you begin
Watch for pits and moving hazards before crossing.
Explore side paths for food and hidden items.
Do not rely on attacking every enemy; some are safer to avoid.
Prehistorik is a side-scrolling platform game developed and published by Titus Interactive for DOS in 1991. The player controls a prehistoric caveman travelling through forests, caves, ruins, and other hazards while searching for food. Its play style combines traditional running and jumping with close-range club attacks and simple environmental challenges. The game is structured as a sequence of compact levels filled with enemies, traps, collectibles, and hidden routes. Contemporary and later reception has been mixed: its colorful presentation and straightforward arcade action are memorable, while uneven difficulty and collision behavior can make it frustrating.
