How it plays

How does Radix: Beyond the Void play?

The game is viewed from a first-person perspective. Each mission places the player in a hostile science-fiction complex or outdoor area, where the main objectives involve reaching the extraction point, destroying enemies, and locating mission-critical items.

Levels are nonlinear and contain doors, switches, elevators, hazards, concealed routes, ammunition, armor, and weapon pickups. The player moves through the environment, fights using a range of firearms, manages health and supplies, and searches for the route forward. Progress is structured around completing successive missions rather than an experience or character-level system.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Radix: Beyond the Void?

Search each area before leaving, since switches, key items, and alternate routes can be easy to miss. Conserve powerful ammunition for tougher enemies and use the environment to create distance when possible.

Keep track of unopened doors and unexplored branches. In larger stages, retracing your route is often necessary, so preserving health and armor is more valuable than rushing into every encounter.

Before you begin

What should you know before playing?

  1. 1

Explore side rooms for supplies and mission items; the shortest-looking route is not always the correct one.

  2. 2

Use distance and cover when facing groups instead of spending powerful ammunition immediately.
