How it plays

How does Resident Evil: Deadly Silence play?

Players investigate the Spencer Mansion and surrounding areas from a fixed camera perspective. The main objectives are to find keys and quest items, unlock new rooms, solve puzzles, and uncover the fate of the missing Bravo Team.

The player selects Jill Valentine or Chris Redfield. Each character has different inventory capacity, weapons, and story support. Combat uses firearms and a knife, while healing items and ammunition must be managed carefully. Classic mode recreates the original campaign; Rebirth mode changes enemy placements and adds touch-screen sequences. A separate multiplayer Battle Game supports short combat matches.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Resident Evil: Deadly Silence?

Conserve ammunition by using the knife or avoiding weak enemies when the room layout allows it. Save stronger weapons for hunters, bosses, and unavoidable encounters.

Map unexplored rooms, store spare items in item boxes, and carry only what is needed for the next objective. Examine quest items and combine herbs or ammunition whenever the game permits it.

Jill is generally easier for first-time players because of her inventory and lockpick. Chris has less room for supplies, so route planning and item-box management matter more.
