How it plays

How does Rotor play?

The game is viewed from behind the spacecraft in a first-person-style 3D flight environment. The player pilots through mission areas, avoids terrain and hazards, engages hostile craft, and reaches required objectives before the ship is destroyed or resources run out.

Movement is governed by momentum, so changing direction and stopping require planning. Progress comes from completing successive missions and learning how to combine navigation, positioning, and weapons management in increasingly difficult environments.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Rotor?

Treat the spacecraft's momentum as part of the control system. Begin turning and braking before reaching an obstacle, and avoid making abrupt corrections when travelling at high speed.

Use open space to line up attacks and keep a clear escape route. During difficult encounters, survival and positioning are more important than pursuing every target; learn each mission's layout before attempting faster runs.

Before you begin

What should you know before playing?

  1. 1

Brake early when approaching obstacles or changing direction.

  2. 2

Keep room around the ship for evasive movement during combat.

  3. 3

Learn mission routes before prioritizing speed.
