Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
Races are viewed from behind the selected car. The objective is to complete each circuit ahead of the opposition while managing corners, braking points, and sustained speed.
Players can choose individual races or progress through championship-style events, depending on the selected mode. Finishing well advances the competition and provides access to further racing challenges. Driving consists of accelerating, braking, steering, and controlling the car through traffic-free polygonal circuits; success depends on learning each track and carrying speed through turns.
The DOS version also includes multiplayer play, with the exact available format depending on the configured hardware and game setup.
Plan your run
Brake before a corner rather than entering it at maximum speed. Early braking gives the car time to settle and makes the exit easier to control.
Learn the sequence of turns on each circuit, then use the straight sections to recover speed. Avoid unnecessary steering corrections, since they make it harder to hold a clean racing line.
In championship events, consistent finishes are usually safer than repeated attempts at risky overtakes.
Before you begin
Practice difficult corners in single-race play before attempting a championship.
Use the straightest possible line through turns and begin accelerating as the car points toward the exit.
Screamer is a 1995 DOS arcade racing game developed by Graffiti and published by Virgin Interactive. It focuses on high-speed road racing with several selectable cars, circuit events, and a strong emphasis on rapid steering and braking rather than realistic vehicle simulation. The game presents races from a behind-the-car perspective and supports single-player competition as well as multiplayer options available in the DOS release. Its polygonal tracks, bright presentation, and demanding pace helped it stand out among mid-1990s PC racers. Reception was generally favorable for its speed and audiovisual impact, although handling and technical requirements could be demanding on period hardware.
