How it plays

How does Skate or Die! play?

Players choose from several skateboarding events, each with its own objective. Downhill requires reaching the finish quickly while avoiding hazards; freestyle rewards successfully performed tricks; high jump focuses on building speed and clearing a height; and pool joust pits skaters against one another in a confined arena.

The jam event is a competitive race against another skater. Progress comes from improving routes, timing jumps and tricks, and mastering the distinctive handling of each event rather than from a character-leveling system. The game supports solo play and two-player competition in selected events.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Skate or Die!?

Learn one event at a time, because the same movement habits do not work equally well everywhere. In downhill races, prioritize a clean line and controlled landings over risky shortcuts.

For freestyle and high jump, build speed before attempting a trick or jump. In pool joust and jam, watch the opponent’s position and avoid committing to a jump when a collision or poor landing is likely.
