How it plays
The playfield is viewed from the front. A launcher at the bottom fires one Snood at a time toward a suspended arrangement of Snoods.
Match three or more connected Snoods of the same type to remove them. Unsupported pieces may also fall, allowing a single shot to clear a large section. Players progress through increasingly difficult levels while managing the descending danger line and the next available piece.
Plan your run
Aim for groups of three or more and use the side walls to reach difficult angles.
Before you begin
Use bank shots to reach the far side of the playfield.
Clear a key supporting Snood to trigger a larger drop.
Play cautiously when the formation approaches the danger line.
Snood is a puzzle and arcade game developed by David L. Dobson and first released for DOS in 1996. The player launches colorful Snood faces toward a ceiling of attached pieces, matching groups to remove them before the formation descends too far. Its play style combines careful aiming, bank shots, and quick decisions rather than reflex-heavy movement. The game became known for its simple rules, expressive pieces, and approachable presentation, helping it gain a strong following as an independent computer puzzle title. The DOS version provides the foundational Snood experience, with level-based play and increasing pressure as puzzles become harder.
