Spider-Man
The playable superhero, using acrobatics, hand-to-hand attacks, and web abilities to protect New York City.
How it plays
The game uses a primarily side-scrolling perspective. Spider-Man advances through linear stages, defeats groups of enemies, avoids environmental hazards, and reaches an exit or boss encounter.
Spider-Man can jump, attack, use web-based abilities, and traverse sections built around his agility. The campaign follows the film-inspired storyline and introduces new locations and opponents as progress is made. Boss fights provide more specialized encounters than ordinary street combat.
Plan your run
Learn the timing of jumps before rushing through each stage. Use Spider-Man’s mobility to avoid enemy attacks rather than trading damage in crowded areas.
Against bosses, observe attack patterns and strike during recovery windows. Explore the stage when possible, since safer positioning is often more valuable than attacking continuously.

Spider-Man 2 for Nintendo DS is a side-scrolling action platformer developed by Vicarious Visions and published by Activision. It adapts the 2004 Spider-Man 2 film while presenting its own compact handheld interpretation of the story. Players control Spider-Man as he moves through urban environments, fights criminals and super-powered enemies, and uses web abilities to navigate hazards. The game combines platforming, close-range combat, web-swinging sequences, and boss encounters. Its short stages and straightforward controls suit portable play, although contemporary reception was mixed because of its limited depth and occasional repetition. It is distinct from the larger console versions rather than being a direct technical conversion.
