SpongeBob SquarePants
The optimistic fry cook who leads the journey to Atlantis.
How it plays
The game uses a side-scrolling perspective. Players guide SpongeBob through stages inspired by the Atlantis story, moving across platforms, avoiding hazards, defeating enemies, and collecting items while working toward the stage exit.
Stages are presented as a linear adventure with environmental obstacles and encounters along the route. Progression comes from completing levels and advancing through the story rather than from a large upgrade system. The Game Boy Advance version is a single-player experience.
Plan your run
Study each stage before committing to a jump, especially where enemies and hazards are placed close together.

SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis is a licensed action-platformer for the Game Boy Advance, developed by Altron and published by THQ in 2007. It adapts the television film of the same name, sending SpongeBob and his friends on an adventure to the lost city of Atlantis. The game combines side-scrolling exploration with enemy encounters, hazards, collectible items, and short challenges drawn from the show’s setting. Its structure is designed for brief handheld play sessions, with straightforward controls and colorful presentation suited to younger players. Reception was generally mixed: critics recognized the recognizable license and accessible format, while often finding the gameplay simple and repetitive compared with stronger platformers on the system.
