Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
Matches are viewed from above, allowing the player to follow the ball and position the controlled footballer across the pitch. The main objective is to outscore the opposing team before the match ends.
Players move around the field, challenge for possession, pass, and attempt shots on goal. Progression is based on match results and available competition or match options rather than character development or persistent upgrades. The experience centers on learning the pace of play, creating openings, and defending space.
Plan your run
Keep the ball moving instead of repeatedly carrying it through crowded areas. Short passes can create space and help maintain possession near the opponent’s penalty area.
Defensively, return quickly to the space between the ball and your goal. Avoid pulling every player toward the carrier, since open lanes can leave the goal exposed. Use attacks from wider areas when the center is congested.
Striker is an arcade-oriented association football game developed by Rage Software and published by U.S. Gold for DOS in 1992. It focuses on fast matches rather than detailed simulation, presenting soccer from a top-down perspective with direct control over passing, shooting, and player movement. The game is designed for quick sessions and competitive play, with match options built around choosing a side and scoring more goals than the opponent. Its reception was generally associated with accessible, energetic play, although contemporary criticism could vary depending on expectations for realism and control precision. Striker is best understood as a straightforward early-1990s computer soccer game rather than a heavily licensed management or simulation title.
