How it plays

How does Summon Night: Swordcraft Story play?

The game uses a top-down perspective for towns, fields, and dungeons. The player explores connected areas, talks to residents, completes story tasks, and fights monsters in real time. Combat centers on normal attacks, jumping, weapon durability, and choosing a weapon suited to the situation.

Materials obtained from enemies and treasure are used at the forge to make swords, axes, drills, knuckles, and other weapons. Story battles and arena-like challenges advance progression, while new recipes and stronger materials expand the available equipment.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Summon Night: Swordcraft Story?

Keep several weapon types available because different weapons have different reach, speed, and durability. Repair or replace damaged equipment before difficult battles, and collect materials instead of selling everything immediately.

Explore each dungeon carefully for treasure and forging materials. Test new weapons on ordinary enemies before committing them to a boss fight, and use movement and jumping to avoid attacks rather than relying only on weapon power.
