How it plays
The game is a two-dimensional platformer viewed from the side. Peach moves through themed worlds, defeats enemies, collects coins and crystals, and searches for Toads hidden in stages.
Each world contains several stages followed by a boss encounter. Perry can attack, carry objects, and help Peach cross hazards. The touch screen provides access to four Vibes: Joy, Rage, Gloom, and Calm. Vibes consume a meter but grant different movement, attack, defensive, or recovery effects.
Exploration and collected coins also support progression. Coins can be spent in the shop to improve abilities and purchase useful items, while rescued Toads and stage collectibles encourage revisiting levels.
Plan your run
Learn to switch Vibes rather than relying on a single power. Joy helps with extended movement, Rage improves offensive power, Gloom can reveal or affect the environment, and Calm restores Peach when its conditions are met.
Search every branch and elevated platform for Toads, crystals, and coins. Spend coins on useful upgrades, but keep enough of the Vibe meter available for hazards and boss encounters.
Against bosses, observe their attack cycles and use Perry or the appropriate Vibe only during safe openings. Returning to earlier stages after gaining new abilities can reveal previously inaccessible areas.

Super Princess Peach is a side-scrolling platform game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS. It reverses the usual rescue premise by making Princess Peach the hero, as she travels through Vibe Island to rescue Mario, Luigi, and several Toads from Bowser. Peach uses a talking umbrella named Perry, along with four emotions that alter her abilities and the surrounding environment. The game combines traditional platforming with light exploration and collectible hunting. Its colorful presentation and approachable design were generally well received, although reviewers often considered it shorter and easier than mainline Mario adventures. The Nintendo DS version uses both buttons and the touch screen to support Peach’s powers and interface.
