Koji Kabuto
One of the main pilots from Mazinger Z, typically serving as a front-line attacker with strong offense.
How it plays
Each stage presents a tactical objective on a grid map. The player moves allied units, selects attacks, manages weapon ranges and ammunition, and tries to defeat enemy forces while protecting required units or meeting scenario conditions.
Story intermissions provide dialogue and access to upgrades, pilot development, equipment allocation, and unit deployment. Progression comes from earning funds and experience during missions, then improving robots and pilots before the next battle. The campaign follows a sequence of scenario maps with route and story developments.
Plan your run
Use terrain, weapon range, and movement order to keep fragile units away from concentrated enemy attacks. Check enemy weapons before ending a turn, and avoid spending limited ammunition or energy on low-value targets.
Prioritize upgrades for units that will remain in the active roster. Gain experience safely when possible, but keep enough resources for difficult objectives and bosses. Save before major route decisions or challenging maps.

Super Robot Taisen D is a turn-based tactical role-playing game developed and published by Banpresto for the Game Boy Advance. It brings together robots and pilots from several anime properties in an original crossover scenario, with the player directing a custom force through a sequence of military and science-fiction conflicts. Missions take place on grid-based maps where positioning, terrain, morale, weapons, and pilot abilities all matter. Between battles, players manage upgrades, distribute resources, and follow story conversations. The game was well regarded among tactical RPG and mecha fans for fitting the series’ large-scale crossover format into a portable release, although its Japanese-only presentation limits accessibility for players who cannot read Japanese.
