Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
The game uses an isometric perspective and real-time control. Missions usually require the player to lead a team of agents through a city, eliminate hostile forces, protect targets, retrieve objects, or reach a designated location.
Agents can move, aim, fire, use equipment, and interact with vehicles and civilians. The campaign includes research, weapons and equipment management, recruitment, and city-based progression. Missions become more demanding as rival forces gain stronger technology and larger forces.
Plan your run
Pause frequently to issue orders and keep the squad together. Use cover, corners, and buildings to limit enemy firing angles rather than sending agents into open streets.
Research upgrades that match the campaign’s immediate threats, and preserve valuable equipment for missions where heavy armor or specialized weapons are required. Check the map before advancing so civilians and neutral units do not become accidental targets.
Before you begin
Use controlled movement instead of rushing through streets.
Keep multiple agents equipped for different ranges and situations.
Save before difficult missions and before major research decisions.
Syndicate Wars is a cyberpunk real-time tactics and strategy game developed by Bullfrog Productions and published by Electronic Arts for DOS in 1996. It is the sequel to Syndicate and presents a conflict between the EuroCorp syndicate and a powerful artificial intelligence known as the Church of the New Epoch. Players command teams of agents through heavily armed urban environments, balancing direct combat, research, recruitment, and territorial control. The game is known for its dark atmosphere, detailed futuristic cities, and flexible tactical systems, though its complexity and demanding interface divided contemporary players. It remains a notable late-1990s example of ambitious PC strategy design.
