How it plays

How does The Blues Brothers: Jukebox Adventure play?

The game uses a side-view perspective and presents a sequence of platforming stages. Jake or Elwood moves through buildings and outdoor areas, avoids hazards, defeats enemies, and searches for jukeboxes and other useful items.

Platforming depends on running, jumping, climbing, and manipulating objects. Progress comes from reaching the end of each stage and collecting or rescuing the required jukeboxes. The DOS version is designed primarily for single-player play; the player controls one brother at a time rather than using a documented simultaneous two-player mode.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play The Blues Brothers: Jukebox Adventure?

Learn the timing of jumps before moving quickly through unfamiliar areas. Check platforms and side paths for jukeboxes and useful items rather than heading directly toward the exit.

Treat enemies and environmental hazards separately: clear a safe landing area first, then cross gaps or climb. When a section feels inconsistent, use slower movements and keep a reserve of health or lives for the next checkpoint or stage transition.
