Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
The game is viewed from a first-person perspective. The main objective is to explore the estate, uncover its history, solve environmental and inventory-based puzzles, and survive encounters with hostile creatures and supernatural threats.
Players move between rooms and locations, inspect objects, collect and use items, manage character abilities and equipment, and engage enemies in combat. Progression depends primarily on finding clues, opening new areas, and making effective use of resources rather than on a simple linear stage sequence.
Plan your run
Search every accessible room carefully and examine objects before moving on. Keep useful items organized, because several puzzles depend on using the right object in the right location.
Conserve health and other limited resources when possible. Record clues and suspicious symbols, revisit earlier areas after obtaining new items, and save frequently before exploration or combat.
The Legacy: Realm of Terror is a first-person horror role-playing game developed by Magnetic Scrolls and published by MicroProse for DOS in 1993. The player investigates a remote family estate whose rooms and history conceal supernatural dangers. Exploration, combat, puzzles, and character management share the focus rather than forming a conventional action game. The game uses a tense, interface-driven presentation with real-time movement through the mansion and surrounding locations. Its atmosphere emphasizes isolation, occult mystery, and unsettling discoveries. Reception was mixed: critics often recognized its ambitious setting and detailed presentation, while also noting a demanding interface, uneven pacing, and a steep learning curve.
