Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
The game is viewed from inside a corridor. A ball moves away from the player, and the paddle is positioned to return it when it reaches the foreground. Missing the ball costs a life or ends the current attempt, depending on the situation.
Levels are built around hazards, barriers, turns, and route-finding challenges. The objective is to survive the course and reach its end, with later sections requiring faster reactions and better anticipation. Progress is primarily based on completing successive corridors rather than developing a character or collecting equipment.
Plan your run
Watch the corridor ahead rather than reacting only when the ball reaches the paddle. Early movement should be small and deliberate, because overcorrecting makes it harder to line up the return.
Learn the timing of each obstacle section and use repeated attempts to memorize safe routes. When a corridor contains turns or visual distractions, prioritize keeping the ball centered and make positioning changes before the final approach.
Before you begin
Use short paddle movements to maintain control.
Study repeated obstacle patterns before attempting to move quickly.
Treat each life as an opportunity to learn the corridor layout.
The Light Corridor is a first-person action-puzzle game developed and published by Infogrames for DOS. The player guides a bouncing ball through a succession of enclosed corridors, using a movable paddle to keep it in play while avoiding hazards and finding a route forward. Its unusual perspective gives a simple ball-and-paddle idea a more disorienting presentation than a conventional arcade game. Progress depends on timing, spatial awareness, and learning each obstacle pattern rather than on character combat. The game attracted attention for its distinctive 3D-style viewpoint, although its specialized design and demanding controls kept it a niche release rather than a major hit.
