Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
The game uses a side-view platform perspective. The objective is to move through linear stages, avoid or overcome hazards, collect useful items where available, and reach the end of each level.
Progression is based on completing successive stages rather than building a character or managing an inventory. The DOS version is an arcade-oriented platform game, so timing jumps and learning enemy and obstacle patterns are more important than dialogue or puzzle solving.
Plan your run
Treat each stage as a pattern-learning exercise. Move cautiously near enemies and hazards, and use short, controlled jumps when the landing area is unclear.
Prioritize safe progress over collecting every item. If a section causes repeated failures, observe its timing before committing to a jump or moving past an obstacle.
The Munsters is a licensed action-platform game developed by Zeppelin Games and published by Ocean Software for DOS in 1993. It adapts the macabre comedy of the television series into side-scrolling platform play, with the player guiding a Munsters character through hazardous stages inspired by the family’s gothic home and surroundings. The game emphasizes movement, jumping, enemy avoidance, and straightforward arcade-style progression rather than exploration or role-playing systems. As a relatively obscure licensed release, it received limited attention compared with Ocean’s better-known platform games. Its main historical interest is as an early-1990s computer adaptation of a classic American television property.
