Lee
The martial artist controlled by the player. He travels through dangerous stages to rescue kidnapped children.
How it plays
The game uses a side-view perspective. Lee advances through a sequence of scrolling stages, defeats ordinary enemies, negotiates platforms and hazards, and reaches a boss at the end of each area.
Lee attacks with martial-arts strikes and can use weapons found during the journey. Progress depends on learning enemy patterns, managing positioning, and avoiding contact damage; a limited number of lives and continues make repeated attempts important.
Plan your run
Stay near the edge of an enemy's attack range and strike after its movement or attack has committed. Avoid rushing into groups, since contact damage can quickly consume a life.
Treat each stage as a pattern-learning exercise. Preserve lives for boss encounters, use available weapons when they provide a safe advantage, and watch platforms and hazards before jumping.

Tiger Road is a side-scrolling action game developed by Capcom and ported to DOS by U.S. Gold. The player controls Lee, a martial artist who travels through hostile terrain to rescue kidnapped children and confront the warlord Gashira. Its structure combines beat 'em up combat with platforming, climbing, jumping, and weapon use. The arcade original was recognized for its fast action and colorful fantasy setting, while home-computer versions were judged mainly by how closely they reproduced the arcade experience. The DOS edition preserves the basic combat-and-stage progression, although its presentation and responsiveness differ from the arcade release.
