How it plays

How does Tigers on the Prowl play?

The game uses a top-down, map-based perspective and turn-based play. Players command units on tactical maps, maneuver through terrain, locate or engage opposing forces, and pursue objectives such as eliminating enemy units, seizing positions, or holding ground.

Orders depend on unit type, available movement, weapon range, visibility, morale, and other battlefield factors. Scenarios provide structured engagements, while the simulation’s detailed rules make reconnaissance, positioning, ammunition use, and timing important parts of progression.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Tigers on the Prowl?

Study the map before moving. Terrain, cover, elevation, and visibility can determine whether an attack succeeds or exposes a unit to return fire.

Keep infantry, armor, and supporting weapons coordinated. Use reconnaissance to identify threats, avoid advancing unsupported tanks, and preserve ammunition for targets that can affect the scenario’s objective.
