Tintin
The young reporter and playable protagonist who travels through Tibet to find Chang.
How it plays
The game uses a side-view perspective. Tintin travels through linear stages, crossing mountain paths, caves, settlements, and other locations while searching for clues and reaching the next section of the journey.
Players guide Tintin around obstacles, gaps, enemies, and environmental hazards. Progress is mainly stage-based, with survival and route completion driving advancement rather than character statistics or equipment customization.
Plan your run
Observe hazards before committing to a jump, especially on narrow mountain paths and icy sections. Move cautiously around enemies instead of rushing through every screen.
Learn the layout of each stage and treat lives as a limited resource. Explore side paths when they appear, but prioritize safe progress and the route needed to continue the story.

Tintin in Tibet is a side-scrolling platform adventure developed and published by Infogrames for DOS in 1995. It adapts Hergé's album Tintin in Tibet, following Tintin's search for his friend Chang after a plane crash in the Himalayas. The game combines exploration, precision platforming, hazardous climbs, enemy encounters, and short action sequences rather than presenting a conventional arcade platformer. Its levels use snowy mountain landscapes, caves, villages, and ruins to retell the comic's journey. Reception was mixed: players appreciated the recognizable artwork, atmosphere, and faithfulness to the source, while the demanding controls, collision behavior, and uneven difficulty were frequent criticisms.
