How it plays
The game uses a side-view perspective. Players move through linear stages, jump across gaps, climb or traverse obstacles, collect items, and defeat enemies with melee attacks.
Stages are structured around combat encounters and platforming sections, with boss fights appearing at key points. Progression follows the film-inspired campaign, and the player changes between the four turtles as the adventure requires.
Plan your run
Learn the reach and timing of each turtle’s weapon before committing to attacks. Short attacks followed by repositioning are safer than staying close to groups of enemies.
Use jumps carefully around pits and moving obstacles, and explore the edges of stages for useful items. Against bosses, watch their attack patterns and strike during recovery moments rather than attacking continuously.

TMNT is a side-scrolling action platformer for the Game Boy Advance, developed by Ubisoft and based on the 2007 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film. Players guide the four turtles through New York locations while fighting gangs, monsters, and other threats connected to the film’s story. The game combines platforming, close-range combat, exploration, and environmental challenges. Each turtle has distinct weapons and attributes, giving the action some variation as the story progresses. The GBA version was generally regarded as a straightforward portable adaptation: accessible and recognizable to fans, though less ambitious and visually detailed than the console versions.
