How it plays
Tom and Jerry Tales uses a side-view platforming perspective. The player moves through linear stages, avoids environmental hazards, defeats or evades enemies, and collects useful items while pursuing the stage objective.
Levels are divided into short sections inspired by the television property. Movement, jumping, timing, and careful positioning are the main skills, with progression coming from clearing stages rather than from a character-level system. The portable format keeps the controls and objectives relatively direct.
Plan your run
Study enemy movement before committing to a jump, especially near ledges and moving hazards. Keep a steady pace, but do not rush blind corners where an opponent or obstacle can interrupt progress.
Use the wider view of each section to plan routes and collect items safely. When a stage allows room to evade rather than attack, avoiding danger is usually more reliable than forcing an encounter.

Tom and Jerry Tales is a side-scrolling action platformer developed by Sensory Sweep Studios for the Game Boy Advance and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment in 2006. It adapts the slapstick rivalry of the animated series into a compact portable adventure, with Tom and Jerry facing hazards, enemies, and familiar comic situations across themed stages. The game emphasizes straightforward running, jumping, exploration, and cartoon-style encounters rather than complex role-playing systems. Its reception was generally modest: the recognizable license and accessible structure appealed to younger players, while reviews commonly regarded the gameplay as simple and repetitive for experienced platform-game fans.
