Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
The game is viewed from the aircraft cockpit. The player flies combat missions, manages the aircraft during attacks, and attempts to complete objectives while avoiding enemy fire and other hazards.
Progression is organized around a sequence of missions rather than an open world. Play centers on controlling the fighter, acquiring or attacking targets, using weapons at appropriate moments, and staying airborne long enough to finish the assigned task.
Plan your run
Learn the aircraft’s handling before committing to aggressive attacks. Keep track of incoming threats and avoid spending too much time in a predictable straight line.
Approach targets deliberately, use weapons only when the attack is lined up, and prioritize survival when a mission permits withdrawal. Repeating difficult missions helps reveal enemy patterns and safer routes.
Top Gun: Danger Zone is a DOS combat flight game based on the Top Gun film franchise. Developed and published by Konami, it places the player in the cockpit of a modern fighter aircraft for a series of dangerous military missions. The game combines cockpit-oriented flight controls with arcade-style air combat, emphasizing quick reactions, target identification, and survival rather than detailed simulation. Missions involve taking off, engaging hostile aircraft or ground targets, and returning safely when required. Its presentation reflects early-1990s home-computer aviation games, with functional graphics and a direct action focus. Reception was mixed: players interested in Top Gun and accessible dogfighting could find it entertaining, while those seeking a deeper flight model or more extensive campaign often considered it limited.
