Woody
A pull-string cowboy toy and one of the principal playable characters.
How it plays
The game uses a side-scrolling perspective for most stages. Players move through themed environments, avoid hazards, defeat enemies, collect items, and solve simple environmental puzzles while following story objectives.
Playable toys have different movement or interaction roles, and progression advances through film-based levels and short activities. The Nintendo DS version also uses the touch screen for selected interactions and minigame-style challenges.
Plan your run
Explore each stage before moving on so that collectibles and alternate paths are not missed. Learn the timing of jumps and attacks around hazards rather than rushing through unfamiliar sections.
Use the character or action best suited to the obstacle, and pay attention to touch-screen prompts during activities. Replaying completed stages can help locate items missed on the first attempt.

Toy Story 3 for Nintendo DS is an action-adventure platform game developed by n-Space and published by Disney Interactive Studios. It adapts the story and characters of Pixar's third Toy Story film, while presenting the action in a format designed for Nintendo's dual-screen handheld. Players guide familiar toys through side-scrolling stages, environmental challenges, collectible hunts, and smaller touch-screen activities. Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie each contribute to the toy-centered adventure. The game received mixed-to-moderate attention: reviewers generally recognized its accessible presentation and faithful license, but considered it less ambitious than the stronger console versions.
