Bloop
The blue dinosaur controlled by the player. He explores the island, collects eggs, and battles or avoids the Trogs.
How it plays
Bloop is viewed from an overhead perspective and must collect the required eggs before reaching the exit. Trogs patrol the maze, while environmental hazards and destructible objects can make routes dangerous.
The player moves through progressively more demanding stages, using attacks and temporary power-ups to create safe paths. Some items change Bloop's abilities, allowing him to confront enemies more effectively. Success depends on learning enemy movement, choosing efficient routes, and avoiding unnecessary fights.
Plan your run
Plan a route around the whole arena before collecting the final egg. Keeping an escape path open is safer than entering a corner while Trogs are nearby.
Use power-ups when they solve a specific threat, and avoid wasting time fighting enemies that can simply be bypassed. Learn the timing of hazards and wait for patrols to separate before crossing narrow routes.

The island's hostile inhabitants. Trogs pursue Bloop and try to prevent him from completing each stage.
Trog is an arcade-style action game developed and published by Midway for DOS in 1991. The player controls Bloop, a small blue dinosaur trying to recover eggs from an island inhabited by hostile Trogs. Each stage combines maze navigation, enemy avoidance, and short bursts of direct attack. The DOS version presents the game as a sequence of single-screen arenas with colorful hazards and simple objectives. Its quick controls and cartoon presentation retain the appeal of the arcade original, although the home-computer conversion is less well known than the coin-operated release. Trog is best suited to short, reflex-focused sessions rather than extended story-driven play.
