Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
The game uses a side-on perspective and automatically scrolls through each stage. The objective is to destroy enemies, avoid projectiles and environmental hazards, collect useful items, and reach the stage boss.
The ship can move around the play area while firing continuously or at the player's chosen rhythm. Stages introduce different enemy patterns and hazards, and successful completion advances the player through the campaign. Losing all available lives ends the current attempt.
Plan your run
Stay near the center of the play area when enemy formations are entering, then move decisively toward a safe opening. Constant movement is useful, but predictable movement makes the ship easier for aimed attacks to hit.
Prioritize power-ups and threatening enemies over low-risk targets. Against bosses, learn the timing of their projectile patterns and attack during the brief windows when their movement leaves a clear escape route.
Tubular Worlds is a horizontally scrolling shoot 'em up developed by Dongleware and released for DOS in 1994. The player pilots a small spacecraft through hostile environments filled with enemy formations, terrain hazards, and large bosses. Its play style combines continuous forward movement with weapon management, evasive flying, and power-up collection. The game follows the traditional arcade shooter structure rather than presenting a character-driven story or exploration system. Progress is organized into sequential stages, with survival and score serving as the main goals. Tubular Worlds was known primarily within the Amiga and DOS shoot 'em up scene, where its colorful presentation and demanding action attracted genre-focused players.
