Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
Races take place from a behind-the-vehicle perspective on closed tracks containing sharp turns, jumps, hazards, and weapon pickups. The objective is to complete the required laps before the rival racers while maintaining control through the course.
Players steer, accelerate, brake, and fire collected weapons. Track events and weapon placement create opportunities to attack opponents or defend a lead. Progression is based on completing races and advancing through the available courses rather than on character statistics or a complex upgrade system.
Plan your run
Learn the layout of each track before relying on weapons. Braking before tight corners is usually safer than attempting to maintain maximum speed through every turn.
Collect weapons when they are convenient, but avoid taking a poor racing line merely to obtain a pickup. Save an attack for a straight section or a moment when an opponent is committed to a corner.
Wacky Wheels is a DOS kart-racing game developed by Beavis-Soft and published by Apogee Software in 1994. It combines arcade racing with projectile-based combat and a deliberately cartoonish presentation. Players choose an animal racer, compete on obstacle-filled tracks, collect weapons, and try to finish ahead of opponents. The game supports solo competition and multiplayer races, including split-screen play on compatible systems. Its fast handling, weapon pickups, and humorous visual style made it a recognizable shareware-era alternative to more simulation-focused racing games. Reception was generally favorable for its accessible action and multiplayer entertainment, although its simple presentation and occasionally rough collision behavior limited its appeal for some players.
