How it plays

How does War Wind play?

The game uses an overhead, mouse-driven perspective. Players collect resources, construct buildings, train workers and military units, explore the map, and attack or defend strategic positions.

Campaign missions follow faction-specific objectives, while skirmish-style play emphasizes base construction and battlefield control. Progression comes from expanding the settlement, researching technologies, upgrading troops, and combining different unit types. Each race has its own units and capabilities, so successful play depends on adapting the economy and army to the faction selected.

What is the best way to play War Wind?

Secure nearby resource sites before expanding too far, and keep workers active throughout the opening phase. A steady flow of workers and basic combat units is usually more valuable than an early concentration on advanced research.

Scout the map before committing to an attack. Use the strengths of the chosen race, protect vulnerable support units, and avoid fighting under unfavorable terrain or near fortified enemy positions. Preserve experienced units when possible, since replacing an entire force can delay both technology and expansion.
