How it plays

How does Wordtris play?

Letter tiles fall from the top of the playfield and can be moved or rotated while descending. Completed words are removed from the stack, creating space and awarding points; leftover letters remain in place and affect later decisions.

The main objective is to survive as long as possible while building valid words and clearing lines or groups. As play progresses, the falling speed and pressure increase. The challenge comes from balancing immediate short words against longer combinations and keeping the stack low.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Wordtris?

Prioritize clearing dangerous sections of the stack rather than waiting for an ideal long word. Short, familiar words can create room and prevent the pile from becoming difficult to manage.

Watch the available letters before committing a tile. Preserve flexible spaces and avoid building tall, uneven columns unless the placement can support several likely word combinations.

Before you begin

  1. 1

Keep the stack as low and even as possible.

Use short valid words when the playfield becomes crowded.

  3. 3

Plan around the letters already present instead of relying only on incoming tiles.
