How it plays

How does World War II GI play?

The game is viewed from a first-person perspective. The objective is to advance through linear combat missions, eliminate hostile soldiers, locate objectives, and reach the level exit.

Levels combine outdoor areas with buildings, bunkers, tunnels, and defensive positions. Players move, aim, fire, switch weapons, collect ammunition and health items, and interact with selected doors or objects. Progression is based on completing successive missions rather than character statistics or an upgrade tree.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play World War II GI?

Conserve ammunition when enemies are distant or isolated, and use cover around bunkers, doorways, and trenches. Search side rooms and dead ends for ammunition and health supplies before entering large combat areas.

Learn enemy positions during an initial pass instead of rushing into open ground. Explosives are most useful against clustered opponents, while a firearm with dependable range is safer in outdoor sections.

Before you begin

What should you know before playing?

  1. 1

Use cover whenever possible, especially around open courtyards and defensive emplacements.

  2. 2

Check side areas for supplies before leaving a level.

  3. 3

Avoid wasting explosives on single, lightly armed enemies.
