Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
Matches take place from a side-on perspective on randomly generated or predefined destructible battlefields. Each worm team takes turns moving, selecting a weapon, aiming, and firing before the turn timer expires. Explosions alter the terrain, so earlier attacks can create new routes or remove cover.
The objective is to destroy every worm on the opposing team. Players can use conventional weapons, explosives, movement tools, and special equipment, while wind, weapon arcs, terrain, and limited ammunition affect each decision. Battles support solo play and local hot-seat multiplayer, with progression based on completing missions or winning successive matches rather than character development.
Plan your run
Use the terrain as protection, but remember that cover can be destroyed or turned into a hazard. Favor high ground and check the wind before committing to grenades or other projectile weapons.
Preserve powerful weapons for decisive attacks, and use movement tools to escape enclosed positions. When the turn timer is short, prioritize a reliable shot over a complicated trick shot.
Before you begin
Aim with the terrain and wind in mind; a safe firing position is often more valuable than immediate damage.
Worms De Luxe is a turn-based artillery strategy game developed by Team17 Software and published by Ocean Software for DOS. Players command teams of cartoon worms across destructible landscapes, using ballistic weapons and tools to eliminate opposing teams. Each turn combines careful aiming with terrain manipulation, movement, and humorous weapon effects. The game is an enhanced edition of the original Worms, retaining its accessible hot-seat structure while expanding the available content and battle variety. Its blend of tactical planning, unpredictable physics, and comic presentation earned the Worms formula a strong reputation among multiplayer PC games of the mid-1990s.
