Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
How it plays
Players manage a party of adventurers from a role-playing interface, exploring connected fantasy areas and entering battles against hostile creatures. Progress depends on choosing actions carefully, managing health and other resources, and making effective use of the party’s abilities and equipment.
The adventure is structured around successive locations and encounters rather than a single arcade-style stage sequence. Combat and exploration provide experience and rewards, allowing the party to become stronger and better equipped as the campaign advances.
Plan your run
Keep the party supplied before entering unfamiliar areas, and avoid spending limited resources when a safer option is available. Check equipment and character condition regularly after encounters.
Treat turn-based battles as planning exercises: focus attacks when possible, protect weaker members, and use character roles consistently. If an area proves too dangerous, retreat and improve the party before trying again.
Yendorian Tales Book I: Chapter 2 is a fantasy role-playing game developed and published by Makh-Shevet for DOS. It continues the Yendorian Tales setting with a party of adventurers facing exploration, combat, and character-development challenges in a traditional computer RPG structure. The game emphasizes planning and resource management rather than arcade action. Players guide a group through a succession of areas, fight turn-based encounters, and improve the party through equipment and character progression. Its historical reception was limited, but the game is remembered as an unusual mid-1990s DOS role-playing release and as part of Makh-Shevet’s small Yendorian Tales line.
