How it plays
Zool 2 uses a side-view perspective with large scrolling platform stages. The objective is to move through each area, defeat or avoid enemies, collect items, and reach the stage exit while managing hazards and gaps.
Players can select Zool or Zooz, then progress through themed worlds divided into stages. Movement emphasizes running and jumping, while attacks help clear enemies. Exploration and careful positioning are important because the stages contain platforms, traps, and areas that punish reckless movement.
Plan your run
Learn the rhythm of each stage before rushing forward. Short, controlled jumps are safer than constant high-speed movement, especially near enemies and gaps.
Collect useful items when the route is safe, but do not trade unnecessary health for optional pickups. When possible, attack enemies from a distance or from a higher platform, and watch for hazards that repeat on a fixed timing.

Zool 2 is a fast-paced action platformer developed and published by Gremlin Graphics for the Atari Jaguar. It follows Zool, the ninja of the Nth Dimension, as he travels through colorful themed worlds filled with enemies, platforms, hazards, and collectible items. The game also introduces Zooz as a playable character, giving the adventure a second movement and attack style. Play is built around quick traversal, jumping, enemy attacks, and collecting enough items to advance through each stage. Its bright presentation and energetic pace reflect early-1990s arcade platformers. Reception was mixed, with praise for its colorful graphics and speed, but criticism focused on uneven difficulty and collision detection.
