Ellen Ripley
The player character and returning protagonist of the Alien films. Ripley investigates the colony and fights to survive the Xenomorph outbreak.
How it plays
Alien Trilogy is played from a first-person perspective. Ripley explores connected corridors, laboratories, military areas, and alien-infested facilities while completing objectives, locating access items, and reaching extraction points.
The campaign is divided into missions with different goals and enemy encounters. Players collect ammunition, weapons, armor, and other supplies, then choose when to fight or move past threats. Xenomorphs attack at close range and from the environment, while firearms and level knowledge are essential for survival.
Plan your run
Conserve ammunition by using the most appropriate weapon for each enemy and avoid wasting powerful explosives on isolated targets. Check side rooms for supplies before entering long combat sections.
Learn the layout of each mission and watch for ambushes around doors, vents, and narrow corridors. Retreating into a previously cleared area is often safer than fighting several Xenomorphs in an enclosed space.

Alien Trilogy is a first-person shooter developed by Probe Entertainment and published by Acclaim Entertainment for PlayStation. It adapts the atmosphere and creatures of the Alien films into a combat-focused exploration game. Players control Ellen Ripley as she investigates a colony and battles Xenomorphs, synthetic enemies, and other hazards across industrial and military environments. The game uses maze-like levels, weapon management, key hunting, and direct firefights rather than the slower stealth emphasis of the films. Its polygonal 3D presentation and dark science-fiction setting were notable for the period. Reception was generally mixed to positive, with critics often praising its atmosphere and audiovisual design while finding the combat and level navigation repetitive.
