How it plays
The game uses a third-person perspective with polygonal environments. Flint travels through fields, towns, dungeons, and other locations, fighting enemies, jumping across hazards, activating mechanisms, and collecting items needed to open new routes.
Progression is structured around story objectives and dungeon completion. New weapons, tools, and abilities expand Flint's options, while bosses and puzzle rooms provide major milestones. Exploration and backtracking are required when a newly acquired item makes a previously blocked area accessible.
Plan your run
Explore each dungeon carefully before leaving. Check side paths for chests, switches, and items, because some rewards are easy to miss and may support later progression.
Use the jump and attack actions deliberately. Learn enemy patterns before committing to close combat, and revisit earlier areas after obtaining new equipment or abilities.
Save regularly before bosses and difficult puzzle sections. If a room seems impossible, look for a movable object, a pressure mechanism, or a route that becomes available from a different angle.

Alundra 2: A New Legend Begins is an action-adventure game with action-RPG and puzzle elements, developed by Matrix Software for the original PlayStation. It follows Flint, a young treasure hunter drawn into a conflict involving pirates, mechanized enemies, and a threat to the kingdom. Unlike the first Alundra, it uses a colorful 3D presentation and emphasizes platforming as well as combat and dungeon puzzles. Players explore connected areas, obtain equipment, and solve environmental challenges to advance the story. The game received mixed historical reviews: its visual style, varied puzzles, and accessible action were often noted positively, while criticism commonly focused on awkward controls, uneven camera behavior, and a less serious tone than its predecessor.
